1 + 2 = 3!

I have a lot to upload. Hahaha, especially the photos of 3 very important occasions. Let me just speed through what happened during the previous week.

About FYP
It was still a very fruitless week for my FYP. Developing functional chocolates is not as easy as it sounds like making normal chocolates. But despite that, I was 'shot' dead in front of a lift before, and I have awakened thanks to 'her'. So now, as far as up till today, I have made several prototypes, as 'she' expected me to do.
Although the pictures look nevertheless wonderfully chocolate, it's more than just that allure of appearance... (=3=)
Initial trial chocolate tasted quite okay, despite what seemed like 6.0g of green tea polyphenol being added into the chocolate mix. It was the second trial that maybe killed most of my classmates' tastebuds. There was this damn, damn, damn weird aftertaste that does not match the chocolates at all. I regrettedadding in nearly 8.0g of green tea polyphenol at that point in time. That lingering, unearthly aftertaste is definitely not matching with chocolate. OMG, how to salvage it? Third trial was less severe than the second, as I added only around 3.5g green tea polyphenol. Still, I can't forget that 'disaster' till now :P
I'm hoping for a brighter week ahead of me. I'm aiming to finish all the trials and development by at least next week, if not this week if things are going to be THAT smoothly. I'm determined to finalize a final concentration by this week, then do duplicates.

Sadly speaking, my FYP supervisor is leaving soon. :( What a pity. Ms. Lim (Deborah) was such a nice, attentive and good teacher. We are like, hitting it off as good friends la. She said she was kinda sick and tired of Food Science. (=,=) She said she wants to try out a new area: Finance. F***. I kinda already dislike the word already. Then she was like, although she creeps me out by her stares / expressions / look, she never fails to be that friendly and communicable. Sad! I will be missing a good lecturer soon. Oh goodness.

Well, talking about this issue, my class personal mentor, Ms. Marlene, is also going as the same date with Ms. Lim. Hell yeah. So not just missing one, but two of the greatest, frienliest and best lecturers in N5.

About the rest...
I have loads here to upload. 3 parts, all very, very meaningful and exciting to be read.

23rd April Dinner Outing
I was anticipating this one, and I think Kai Ling also thinks likewise , right? It was still alright, despite the 'event' that happened at ASTONS ^^
We met up at Suntec, finally saw Bi Xue. She's the ONLY earliest of the 3 persons coming from IAP. We found ASTONS, to our relief...
BUT there was one more problem: Some of our friends have yet to turn up. We were already queuing, and ASTONS has this inflexible rule of getting your tables according to how many people were queuing at that time. We were already at the frontline, so no choice, must abandon ship for now. we were stressed out, thus we got the tables for those here first. Imagine la, the number of people waiting behind of us, yet we are stalling unintentionally. But oh well, we managed to settle it for now. We had no freaking idea that Wan Wen was not eating with us!!! OMFG at that time most of our faces were like >:O
Jasmine the most stressed one out of us. Like as usual! We ordered, and ate. We ordered YT's food, but she hasn't arrived yet. So sad, she ate cold pasta and cold mushroom soup. I must admit that ASTONS knows how to fill up your stomach... ... with the disadvantage of the point of sick & tired of the rest of your meal. I should have not ordered so much, but well, first time experience. Can't be blamed right?
We got our presents with slight surprise. I told you guys I was anticipating liao... HAHAHA!

KIKI: I think it was a VERY pink optical mouse w/ HELLO KITTY prints on it. XD
ME: I got a very expensive, nice looking wallet that I liked, and wanted to buy from the last outing (X'Mas). I had no idea they remembered so well ^^ Oh I was speechless when I first unwrapped my present. Very... ... emotional at that time. Maybe you guys thought I was not appreciative at all at that time, but I tell you, I WAS TOO TOUCHED. Haha. I promise you guys / girls I will only use it when Semester 2 starts. :)

After that event, we sort of like, roamed the place till we were tired, and went home. Well, most of us. But only me and Wan Wen felt like going to play arcade at that time, so we walked there. Luckily she remembered her way, or else I think I will hammer her head till she equally tall as me :P
We FINALLY REACHED BUGIS. We headed for arcade, played basketball, and I am surprised our total score (team up) was 500+ lor!!! In your face, Jasmine. Eh, my personal score is 300+ okay, not bad for first time. After that we went home.

NA-PHY-ZAH (2) @ Plaza Sing
For the second time, we met up, like that last time, with only the three of us, who had same views. Little shrek was like, missing Fizah for a while now, and she got her wish of meeting up via my belated B'Day celebration. We ate at Pastamania in the end, because we saw how long the queue would be. We ordered a main dish, as well as a pizza to share amongst the three of us. seriously, It's pure insane fun everytime Fizah and I teased and degraded little shrek. Wuahahaha~ Still thinking about those insame moments :D
Dinnering while chatting is sure a fun way to kill time and hunger. I was stuffed full of food and laughter, and also satisfaction. Something I had not done for a week already (F*** FYP)
They said they would get me a $20 buck B'Day present, but only at the end of the trip did I see my eyes on Ayumi's Rock 'n' Roll Circus Album, glistening in front of my eyes @ $21.95. They even got a free HQ acrylic poster at the counter. I am impressed. Am gonna dedicate to Ayumi sooner or later, for being so thoughtful. Or is it her manager, that planned it... I seriously have no clue?
We took photos finally, in the middle of the entrance of Takashimaya. With our proud merchandise.

FIZAH: Lee Min Ho Posters XD
NABILAH: T.O.P Posters
ME: Ayumi Hamasaki 11th Studio album: Rock 'n' ROll Circus

After that, we were just about to head home, when this fashion festival ended. It was directly in front of us, hidden in a LARGE, white tent I suppose. As we walked past the entrance to this hidden festival, we saw loads of people streaming out of it. All dressed up in black trench coats,  black cocktail dresses, beautiful, elegant black numbers, high end bling, black branded suits, fashionable, sleek formal hairstyles, hats, high end bags, and most significantly, the face that they wore. The face that was so different from the others walking down Orchard road. That air of exuding class and elegance. I felt it, and I kept "OMG-ing" till Fizah was annoyed at my reaction. I felt envious, that was definite. Envious at their ability to catch my attention totally. They were not doing anything obvious, but their outfits, behaviours and faces just diffused CLASS. To the extent that Fizah commented: "I seriously feel **** when they walked out suddenly. Like we're some cheapskates." I have to agree. Oh well, it sucks to be poor.

That said, and then we went home. Sadly, the 4 hours of fun ended. But I will look forward to the next, you bet.

Cathy's + Thinesh's + Havinesh's B'Day Mass Celebration
It was my first time going to Cathy's B'Day Mass celebration. It was memorably like the X'Mas party I attended during 2009. So similar, and enjoyably fun. It started with my mis-prediction of thinking I had work. When I didn't have. LOL. Then I went down to Cathy's House just in time to see her cooking her wonderfully delicious chicken wings + deep fried milkfish. Even the monks will be tantalized by the delicious aroma.
We started singing a bit of Karaoke, reminiscing the days of old-time classics. Then as night came nearer, Don came, followed by Cathy's fellow friends. We started having early dinner, delicious... I particularly love the sweet glutinous rice dessert. So my type of labelled "NICE".

After that, most of the PL staff all started filling the room. Those who weren't working till closing came earlier. Then followed by the cakes. 2 cakes,

The first one to arrive was the giant chocolate encrusted cake, with a gigantic chocolate tile with the names of the birthday stars of the night. Really cool, first time I've seen such a big and funky nameplate. I am instantly reminded of "tempering chocolate"... Anyway, the plate really got Jian Hao, Don and me interested. The cake was then wrapped (directly underneath the chocolate coat) with a layer of fondant-like caramelized coating made of sugar and butter. Mmmmmm~ Sugoi desuka, ne? I love the combo of the Ultra sweet chocolate + sugar layer, with the milder, blander taste of the chocolate cake. Nicest cake of the day. 4.5 out of 5 stars for the rating. Heeeheeee!

The second one was deceiving by looks. A deliciously seductive yellow layer of thinly sliced mango wrapping the cake, with a generous amount of fruits (strawberry etc) that is seemingly glazed from head to toe. Now, is that a layer of agar jelly that is there? I don't really know. Nice, shiny, glossy cake that ... ... ... wasn't as good as it tastes like. The second I put a piece of the cake into my mouth, I was repulsing the cake gradually. In a single mouth, the sensation was like I was eating a very, very pungent cake, almost similar to the taste of vomit. All in a small mouthful, and in a few minutes was all it takes for me to be completely repulsed by Jian Hao's creations. I think he mentioned that he put too much gelatin into the cake, thus the resulting odor persisting inside every inch of the if not perfect mango fruit cake. So I finished only the Chocolate cake. :p Don't kill me for saying this out Jian Hao... ... HAHAHA~

This cake-ing was then followed by the black-jack session. Bankers changed depending on their limit. Poor Cathy... she lost so much on her first time being banker. All because of Guan Ming la, that lucky + unlucky guy. Ban-Ban on his first game, already won $6.00, yet still wants to have a bigger appetite, by splitting his deck. He earned another $6.00 for his successful split decks lor. OMG We were like damn shocked. Later that day, Cathy made a comeback, when Guan Ming's turn to be the banker. LOL He lost like, every penny in the wallet. Except his cards la... For me, I lost all the coins (around $2.00++) in my wallet; my $2.00 note flew out, flew in, flew out, and then finally back into the wallet. FUNNY!

I remember the early sleepers were Don, Anna and Mabel, cause they have work the next day. And also, Shi Yun and her beau and Jennifer and Elleen and the aunties went home early, cause I think they too have work.

A night spent at Cathy's home was not good with air con. I think I am not used to air conditioning as much as the others do. I was tossing and turning frequently, did not sleep peacefully. Anyway, We left at 1pm, nearly 8 hours of sleep for me. Went for Brunching at Hougang Mall, Kopitiam @ level 4. Herbal chicken the first thing in the day is simply awesome. Thanks to Jen lor. I slurped down hearty chunks of tenderly broiled chicken meat. Sipping and sluroing down warm and hot chicken infused herbal soup. NICE~

I saw some edgy gadgets along the way down. Some of them are the MIX STYLE headphones. The earphones ones @ $9.90 was uber cool. Like M&M's imprinted with a star on it. I bet It would catch loads of attention. The Headphones were @ $25.90. Hmmmm, I'd still go for the earphones. Not because it's cheaper, but because it's more compact. I also saw things like lego brick designs, as well as just designs on the piece of plastic on the earphone. Now, am I seeing imposter brands, or are they just at that price. I'm just trying my best to convince myself *must buy*
But oh, GaGa's Heartbeats are equally rocking my heart. especially what people have been reviewing about the audiophilic quality. I hope I can try them out before I actually hope of buying them. Dr. Dre's collection of expensive speakers has finally moved me to try them out.
Ten there was this cool optical mouse shaped like a nearly circular pebble. It was said to have lights flashing at the scroller thingy. The best part is that the main effect of buying and using it is reducing palm stress, by just using your fingers to glide your mouse. Cool and ergonomic, as I say. Then I saw these cool, GaGa like speakers, featuring innovation that allows pictures and photos to be placed inside the plastic area. OMFG, this is beginning to feel insanely materialistic. How am I gonna get that load of money...

BUT I WON'T forget that I am cosplaying. NEVER.
